Play it a few more times, though (ignoring the dialogue snippets, if you can), and you will begin to truly revel in Guaraldi's wonderful, humorous, deep piano playing. You'll hear why he's such an influence on new age ivory tickler George Winston, but you'll also realize that Winston's holiday music never quite sparkles with the underlying passion, and humor, that twinkles in these grooves. Rating: - A classic soundtrack for all of us who grew up watching Charlie Brown!
Vince Guaraldi was a true jazz master and did his best work writing for the Charlie Brown specials. Every track on this CD is worth listening to musically as well as for the nostalgia. One of the few commercial Christmas albums that does a good job reminding us why there is a Christmas.

I am a big fan of Charlie Brown classics and the Christmas one is my favorite. This CD is wonderful because it captures all the music from the special even the ones with the gang singing. It's wonderfully mastered and fun to listen to.

I really enjoy this recording. Make sure you get the original soundtrack recording of the CBS television special like this one is. There are other recordings out there that don't sound as good as the original.

This is not only the perfect musical accompaniment for the holidays (i.e. day after Thanksgiving through New Year's Day), it's a fabulous jazz piano album that you can listen throughout the year. One of my all time favorite recordings, period.

Done as the Comic Stip characters have for a long time. In the style well loved by all Charlie Brown fans of all ages. Christmas isn't Christmas without this CD!
