Rating: - Saved me from possible India power surges
The equipment I used overnight every day for two weeks had no problem from the potentially erratic India power.
My only complaint was that item was top heavy and had trouble staying connected the India volt power convert, until I found something to prop the surge protector up.

Rating: - An handy device for the traveler
I bought this to protect my laptop primarily for use when on the road but I have been plugging into it at home as well. It is easy to carry and inexpensive insurance. Plus you can recharge your ipod or other USB capable devices with it.

It is helpful to have a little device like this because I can use it directly in a wall outlet or along with an extention cord. It would be nice if it had two more USB charging jacks on the other end, or maybe set it up so that there are four jacks - two on one side, two on another side becasue very often, when you are taveling, you have equipment that requires 'wall warts' it can really help make the best of a small number of available outlets in a hotel room.

I've seen those cooling plates for laptops for sale all over, but I didn't want to buy something that would strain my laptop's power supply. This little beauty allows me to have surge protection for my laptop -and- run a USB powered fan cooling plate directly, without straining the Power supply of my laptop! If your laptop has issues with heating, get a cooling plate and this device!
