Rating: - Starbucks 8 cup = 34oz beaker
I bought this not sure if it would fit my Starbucks purchase of a 8 cup Bodum Coffee press. My previous beaker broke when it tipped over in the sink. As mentioned in other reviews Bodum should look into using a stronger glass for the beaker as these are entirely too fragile for the average amount of cleaning done to the Coffee Press.

Rating: - Too fragile
When I ordered this replacment I decided to order an "unbreakable" french press. It was cheaper than the Bodum french press and works just as well.
Rating: - very useful, but very fragile
The french press makes great coffee. The glass carafes are extremely fragile, so expect to break them periodically. Then you have to be meticulous in ordering the replacement to make sure that you get the right size.
Rating: - Glass Breaks Too Easily
DO NOT BUY ANY BODUM COFFEE OR TEA PRESS THAT CONTAINS GLASS. BODUM USES A SPECIAL GLASS THAT IS EXTRAORDINARILY FRAGILE AND BREAKS FOR NO APPARENT REASON.
I love Bodum Coffee Presses. But I would NEVER recommend anyone buy one with a glass beaker. You will need to replace the beaker frequently, since the special glass Bodum uses is extremely fragile, and breaks repeatedly for no apparent reason at all.
