Rating: - Excellent for what I need.
The rubber grip is great. I use the tongs mostly for lasagna noodles and they are the best I've had for that. I do see what some other reviewers say about the tongs bending a bit.
Rating: - Nylon Tongs
I wasn't sure about buying this item because of the bad reviews I read here but then decided to take the risk. I'm glad I bought it. I like Calphalon products a lot so far. All I have by this company is great. This product works really well. I will definitely recommend it. This product doesn't seem very durable but it's ok for what I paid for it. I wanted to buy another of this one for later (when the one I have wore out) but it's not available at the momment.

I love Calphalon products and this one is no different. It works really well and did not let my fish break apart, I will definitely recommend it,the price is very good as well.

Maybe I was applying too much pressure but these tongs bent everytime I used them to pick something up. For the record, I did not use them to cook so there was no wild variation in temperature.
The kicker was after a month of use they fell on the kitchen floor and one arm broke in 3 pieces.
Rating: - Terrible product
These tongs are flimsy, and can't pick up food very well. The nylon design bends in attempts to pick up food without actually contributing the strength of the grip therefore things frequently slip out. The design of these also limit the size of food you can pick up as it doesn't really accomodate for larger items. The tongs also melt easily.
