Used Multiclad Pro cookware since they were introduced by Cuisinart and these are well worth the money. The lids are great and the pans will last a lifetime with simple care. This Sauteuse pan is perfect for the oven, or for 2-person dishes on the stove. I have the same size pan with a long handle and find myself using this one three times as often.

Rating: - Deep Dish Excellence
THis is an excellent sauteuse. The depth is good and you need to be sure to read the directions. These pans do not work well at high heat. They overheat and can burn which I did the first time I used it. It takes a while to clean up but the lesson was worth it. Cook at medium heat and be sure to use a good vegetable oil since it is not layered with a non stick surface.

I bought Cuisinart Multi Clad cookware to replace some 60 year old cookware. This sauteuse pan is very functional. It has sturdy rivited handles, a tight fitting lid and best of all,it is a nice heavy weight without it being too heavy. The pans weight makes it easy to saute a mirade of things without it sliding or bouncing around on the burner. I have used this pan as a casserole dish in the oven, poached eggs for eggs benedict, fry up some chicken, and even made fajitas in it as well.
