This product allows the air to circulate around the fruit, slowing down the over-ripening process and keeping it fresh longer! When fruit just sticks to the bottom of a basket or plate, you can be sure that it is not getting good circulation, thus mold can occur, etc.
But with this relatively inexpensive item, you will keep your family or office healthier by keeping your fruit healthier.

Great item for the price. Saves space on my countertop - I keep bread and rolls on the bottom, and fruit on the top. Looks nice.

Really beautiful basket, looks great in the kitchen. But its design lends itself to fruit spoiling faster than normal. Peaches, plums and even apples get a ridge in them from where the basket wire touches them.
