Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Nice to have roads on your GPS
This program is easy and works pretty good. Could be better with some better waypoint features.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - I find that it works.
In reading the other reviews it appears that most folks are having a problem with the MapSend software. I use V4.0 with my Meridian Color and while I find the track vs. road display could be improved, actual location of map generated waypoints to actual destinations is within about 50 to 100 ft. I've tried this at some 12 different and very specific road intersections where there could be no error in the location. Using the Lat/Lon numbers generated by the map, the GPS came within 0.008 of a degree. This equates to an error of some 100 ft or less. I find that the actual width of the road can ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Biggest piece of DOG DOO DOO I've ever purchased!
My daughter bought a Magellan GPSr. The hardware's features were great! Since I own a Garmin V, I thought she might have out-skunked the old man. That was right up until we tried to find map software for this GPS. (The base map is ok if you like traveling interstate routes without street detail for cities.) So, what good is a GPS without map software? Generally USELESS! We bought MAPSEND Streets & Destinations USA. Thank the lord I only spend $39.00 on it. Good for the seller, bad for me. I should have recognize the clues when there was NOT a "Streets & Destinations USA" version for sale ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - My love letter to Magellan Support
"Wow. I am utterly amazed that your corporate headquarters isn't a squatter camp in lower Bangladesh, although I'm sure it will soon be.

Only a nest of leper-rotting unskilled nomadic vagrants could produce software of such putrid quality. I cannot -- absolutely cannot-- believe that I was suckered into buying such an absolute pile of curdled feces.

"Description of the Issue": I'm sure that somewhere in reams of paper used to snort up the vast trails of cocaine your senior management must have blown all the QA budget on, there was something called a 'Spec'. And I'm reasonably ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Bad buy - too inaccurate to be useful
If you're looking for street level point-to-point navigation, look elsewhere. Not quite useless, but nearly so. Locations on uploaded regions are up to two-tenths of a mile off kilter. The best it will do is get you to the general area so you can then use the map image like a paper road map. It will not get you door-to-door. If you're in moutain back country, could be life-and-death serious!
The folks at Thales (pronounced "tallus")/Magellan say they are well aware of the inaccuracy and are trying to find a more reliable data supplier. I'd wait!
