The Basics
Hard Drive: The 100 GB hard drive is one of the largest available in today's notebooks, enabling road warriors and multimedia enthusiasts more than enough capacity for storing documents, digital media files, and productivity software.
Processor: The hyper-threaded 3.2 GHz Intel Pentium 4 processor allows a single CPU system to behave in some aspects like a dual-CPU system, helping to deliver faster transistors and increased performance. A Hyper-Threading processor helps a PC to run multiple demanding applications at the same time. Share your photos quickly via e-mails that include thumbnails with links to the full-sized images--without downloading time-consuming attachments.

Rating: - Its a Desktop replacement for basic mobility
Criticizing the battery life or the weight on the HP Pavilion is lame, because that is not what it is intended on emphasizing. This product is made to host Microsoft Windows Media Center Edition, and should be treated that way. It isn't the most mobile of all notebooks, but it shouldn't be used that way. The best purpose for the notebook side to it is so you can move it from room to room in your house and still access your data and entertainment, weather in the living room or the work desk. I bought the zd8060 2 months ago and havent had ANY problems whatsoever with the build quality. This thing IS a beast though. It has a P4 so it runs too hot to actually have it on your lap and only lasts 1.5 hrs on the battery. Its got a beautiful screen and a nice number pad on the right. The mouse pad is a little sketchy at times (cursor just goes wherever it feels like going) but the great thing about that is there's a button right above it so you can disable it (also, the space on the right of the mouse is big enough to use a usb mouse on).

I have a 16-month old HP-Pavilion ZE55..US laptop (pentium chip, 512MB ram) that I'm sending back for the second time because of problems with the keyboard. In the first incident, the "P"-key popped loose. This time, "R"-key has popped loose while the "N" and "M"-keys have become illegible. Computer keyboards (be they desktops or laptops) last and last and last... which explains my disappointment with my Pavilion (especially because it will cost me real money to have the R, N, M keys fixed. [The hard-drive, the monitor, the CPU and the wireless "G"-card are performing very well, though.]
