I bought this unit as a replacement "upgrade" for the 5.6" one I first bought which was cheap but not very cheerful on the eyes.
Yes - you cant get rid of the picture of the baby that comes with the unit but worse still was that it started having problems after only a very short time.
This new unit worked great ... nice display with crisp and clear pictures.. but only for a few hours after which the "auto-fit" function stopped working and it put nasty rainbow coloured borders around the pictures instead of fitting pictures to suit the position of the frame (landscape/portrait). ... Rating: - Disappointing, buggy product
I purchased this frame because I wanted 800x600 resolution, and the manufacturer's claim that it plugged and played with Windows Vista. The following is my experience with the product.
I installed a SD card, powered it on, and plugged it into the PC with the supplied USB cable. The frame showed up as a two drives under Vista, which I'm assuming is because it has two types of memory slots. I copied a couple of test images over and unplugged it.
