I purchased the Farberware 12-Inch Glass Lid thinking it would fit my Farberware 12-Inch Deep Skillet. Silly me. It didn't fit. Not even close. It seems that while the curved side of the skillet arcs down to the base directly from the edge, the lid has a lip that is more or less perpendicular to its edge - an incompatible state of affairs. After spending a little time audibly pondering the mental capacity and pedigree of whoever at Farberware was responsible for this SNAFU, I "fine-tuned" the lip of the lid with a pair of blunt nose pliers and thumb/forefinger pressure to achieve an acceptable ... I own all Farberware pans, non-stick and traditional, some 15 years old. In fact my parents still own their original set that was a wedding gift over 40 years ago. They are still in great shape. The black has faded a bit but not one handle has broken or cracked. I purchased three sizes of these glass lids and have been using them for almost a year now. I love them. They fit just right. I dont know why so many reviews say the lids dont fit. I can only guess they are not using Farberware pots and pans. The lids are made well with thick glass. Cleans well. Mine still look brand new. We purchased a 12" Rachel-Ray fry pan, but it didn't come with a glass lid, so we got this - and ta-dah! It works!.

Bought this to fit over my Cuisinart 12" pan and it fit perfectly. I was apprehensive at first because of the reviews, but took a chance. Glad I did because this Farberware 12" lid fits just as I wanted.
Rating: - Never got it!
I ordered the lid then received a cancellation with no explanation as to why my order was canceled and when I inquired as to why it was canceled I got an e-mail simply stating that they no longer sold the lid.
So not very good customer service friendly and no advice as to when I could get another lid at the same price :(
