If you want to make a gingerbread house but don't want to go through a lot of trouble, this is the way to go. The kids (ages 5 and 2) loved it, and they are still eating the candy off of the house two weeks later. i think this activity will become a family tradition around the holidays.

This gingerbread house kit was very easy to work with. I recommend if you are decorating with younger children, that you assemble the sides and roof of the house about an hour or more before involving the kids for the decorating fun. Otherwise they have to just sit there and wait for the frosting to dry enough to hold the house together. I assembled 5 house the night before and then we had a gingerbread decorating party which was lots of fun.
