Set its control when a room reaches the desired humidity level and the device maintains that level by restarting when the humidity falls below the setting. Three fan speeds provide additional control; at low speed, the humidifier is bedroom-quiet. This model evaporates about 4.2 gallons of water in 24 hours at high speed. Two 2-gallon plastic bottles fit into the humidifier and permit water-level monitoring. They're virtually indestructible, spillproof, and leakproof, and have wide-mouth spouts and flat backs for easy filling. This is the best humidifier I have found. I own two and I am going to purchase a third for the basement. I live in a very dry climate and I now keep my house at 45% humidity with only two of these humidifiers. They cover a lot of square footage for their size. Very impressive.

The humidifier works great, and doesn't make a lot of noise like other reviews have said. It is less noisy than the Hunter Fan humidifier it is replacing. Gurgling noise is minimal, and we hardly notice it. I would recommend it.
