this under-rated movie should be a classic holiday family film. I watch and taped this on the night it originally aired. As a military wife, this one hits home, for anyone with family members from this era, it will ring true with memories of their stories. It hits all the points of what life was like then, in small town America during WWII. I was thrilled to find it available for sale, I only wish it was on disc as well. I searched for years for this family classic. They sometimes show this movie on the Family Channel, but nothing beats having your own copy to watch again and again. It is the touching story of a family and their joys and sorrows during Christmas and wartime in the 1930's 0r 1940's.
