Product Description: Keep your knives sharp and ready for daily kitchen tasks with this handy sharpening steel. A comfortable, ergonomic handle and long, 9" steel make sharpening your knives quick and easy.
Amazon.com Review: A classic tool that helps get the best from knives, this sharpening steel is a solidly crafted addition to any knife block. Between professional sharpenings, tiny metal fibers bend down on a blade, dulling the surface. The purpose of the sharpening steel is to straighten up those fibers, maintaining the sharpest edge possible for daily use. This model is lightweight, with a flared handle and a tapered edge. It's extremely comfortable and well balanced for experienced users, but beginners may have an easier time with a more substantial weight. Just wipe it down as necessary--there's no need to give this tool a serious scrub. --Jill Lightner

I have Henckels knife which I enjoy using.
I did try other brand's sharpening tool, but it just wasn't as good as original Hanckels. This thing is made in Germany!
Since I paid good sum of money for my knives, it was worth extra money to buy good sharpner. And this really is great price. I saw similar Henckels sharpner at Target for $25.
I am very happy.
Rating: - The Sharper Edge
This sharpening steel enables me to put the final edge on my knives. A dull knife leads to kitchen accidents, and this helps prevent them. The handle is user friendly, and a few strokes are all that is needed.

Works well and it's (relatively) cheap. What more need I say? Good size for a smaller kitchen too.

It is what it says it is and is great for putting that finished edge on knives. About 6 or 7 passes on each side keeps my wifes favorite kitchen knife razor keen. Also used it on my pocket knife, cuts through boxes like butter.

Not only did Amazon offer the best price bar none (web or bricks and mortar), but when I opened the package and slid my knives over this sharpener, I could feel the resistance as the blade ran over the steel. My primary knife, by the same maker, is even more of a joy to work with after using this tool. I am admittedly not open to the fancier modern sharpeners that cost at least four times what this one does. I am very satisfied with the results and look forward to sharpening my knives (even those that are not made by Henckels) with this tool every chance I get.
