Each blade is stamped from a single piece of no-stain steel and features micro-serrations that result in an extremely sharp edge. The serrations vary from knife to knife and are designed for a particular use. For example, the bread knife cuts crusty bread and soft tomatoes beautifully, but is not as suitable for slicing a roast. Eversharp Pro blades are brightly polished with a satin edge, resulting in a professional dual-finish look. The knives also feature traditional triple-rivet polypropylene handles for comfort and hygiene, and visible full-tang construction for strength and balance. Made in countries other than Germany, where Henckels is based, International knives are nonetheless manufactured to strict quality standards and are covered by a lifetime warranty against defects. A great series for a beginning cook, the knives are dishwasher-safe, although Henckels recommends washing them by hand.
