Jerry is a honest to goodness Mississippian, and reminds me a great deal of home. I don't live there anymore, but this brings me back to my roots. I knew people just like Jerry describes. This is great Family entertainment. No foul language, and just good fun if you can stop laughing long enough to hear it.

This is classic Jerry Clower. Good family comedy, where you dont have to worry about language or any inappropriate subjects.

After listening to Jerry Clower, I think everyone in Route 4, Liberty, Mississippi is named Ledbetter. What a testament to Uncle Vercy Jerry became. Raised without a father, Jerry makes it clear that Uncle Vercy was his father figure. It's sad that wit wisdom of Jerry is no longer with us.
Rating: - Good clean fun
I love Jerry Clowers. So many of his stories remind me of the things my dad says he and his brother did when they were kids. If you're looking for something the whole family can enjoy, I recommend Mr. Clower. "The She-Coon of Women's Lib" is particularly funny.

If you want real family entertainment that even the kids can listen to, this is what you want. Jerry Clower uses funny not profanity to entertain. His characters are people, not made up imaginary characters. They live in his stories and if you close your eyes you can almost see them. He is the southern counterpart to Bill Cosby.
