Rating: - Too fragile
When I ordered this replacment I decided to order an "unbreakable" french press. It was cheaper than the Bodum french press and works just as well.
Rating: - very useful, but very fragile
The french press makes great coffee. The glass carafes are extremely fragile, so expect to break them periodically. Then you have to be meticulous in ordering the replacement to make sure that you get the right size.
Rating: - Glass Breaks Too Easily
DO NOT BUY ANY BODUM COFFEE OR TEA PRESS THAT CONTAINS GLASS. BODUM USES A SPECIAL GLASS THAT IS EXTRAORDINARILY FRAGILE AND BREAKS FOR NO APPARENT REASON.
I love Bodum Coffee Presses. But I would NEVER recommend anyone buy one with a glass beaker. You will need to replace the beaker frequently, since the special glass Bodum uses is extremely fragile, and breaks repeatedly for no apparent reason at all. Rating: - Replacement beaker
Glass beaker works the same as the old one. I just wish there was somehow they could make the glass a little bit more thicker and durable. They break to easily and I am sure if it tap this one the wrong way in the sink while washing it will break too.

I bought this as a replacement for a broken beaker from a coffee press of another brand (L'aroma), and was pleased to see that it fit perfectly.
