I bought this skillet to replace another Calphalone skillet that I lost in a move. They no longer make that style, so I had to make do with something similar. This one is not quite as big as I would like, but it'll do. I used my other one the same way I would normally use a wok. I cook alot of stir-fry. This one has nice deep sloping sides that help keep things moving when being stirred, and the non-stick makes clean up a breeze. Its also oven safe. I wish it was a tad bit bigger, but for the price it can't be beat.

this is a very stirdy medium large, sized skillet. no tephalon is what we where looking for. you can prepar a pretty big stir fry plate in this one. very well disigned.

CALPHALON COOK WARE IS THE BEST I'VE EVER USED! Simply Calphalon Nonstick 3-Quart Chef's Skillet THIS PAN IS WONDERFUL FOR MAKING EVERYTHING FROM HAMBURGER HELPER TO STIRFRYS. IT IS BIG ENOUGH THAT THE HAMBURGER HELPER DOESN'T SLOSH OUT THE PAN WHEN YOU TRY TO STIR IT. MY OTHER FRYING PANS HAVE ALMOST BECOME OBSOLETE. I got this as a gift. I own regular Calphalon, which is made heavier, this is called Simply Calphalon, a little less heavy, but just as good. Thats why it is priced less. Well worth buying more.
Rating: - Calphalon at its worst.
This would be a great pan if they left off the teflon coating. Nowhere in the ad is it mentioned that it is teflon. or at least it didn't when I ordered. So they take a pan that should last nearly forever and coat it so that it will last a year or two, maybe.
