I bought this to replace the La Pavoni PA-BURR-B grinder which died after 9 1/2 years of approximately weekly use (we grind three or four ounces of beans at a time, which we've found to be just long enough to avoid stale tasting coffee).
The La Pavoni is an inexpensive (perhaps the most inexpensive at $40) burr grinder which has a few significant problems:
1. It creates a lot of static, making it impossible to easily remove the ground coffee from the receptacle.

This grinder is exactly what I was looking for in a home version for espresso. I am very pleased with this conical burr grinder and the machine grinds the beans perfectly. I have tried other burr grinders but this conical style fits the need. Would I purchase this grinder again?...YES!

Rating: - My First Coffee Grinder
I was told that there isn't any fresher coffee flavor than fresh ground coffee. I've even worked for a local coffee service here in town, and tasted coffee that was ground whole bean, and preground. I must say that fresh ground indeed has the best flavor.
