Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Enjoy composting kitchen scraps
I bought a 5 level unit. It's as described except a weed barrier mesh or window screen doesn't come with it and is needed in the lowest part that catches and drains liguids. That's why it's 4 instead of 5 star. Without it the spout becomes clogged and you have to disassemble to clean with a hose. Some trick are if you see fruit flies or worms try to escape, then it's too moist in the unit and add some shredded paper and it solves the problem. My kids and grandkids get a kick out of seeing how many worm.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - worm farm okay
the bin claims to come with everything required, but instructions say to add a screen or something under the bootom tray. occasionally i lose a worm down in the glop and have to dig it out. not a big deal. the farm does compost as required, though onions and meat are not recommended. overall i am a happy composter, although the worm farm has mold and lots of little bugs. also, worms are gross; they're slimy and seeing the ground move when you open the lid looks like something out of a horror movie. you can imagine what 20-30 worms look like. this was the first time i have done anything like this, ... I have had worm farms before, but this is the easiest way to actually seperate the food from the castings. You use a system of trays, intially placing the food in the bottom tray, and the tray above it is mostly fiberous material. Then you stop feeding them on the lower tray and then start adding food to the tray up above, and then adding another more fiberous tray.

This system eliminates the feeding the worms in one spot and then pulling out the castings, trying to leave all of the worms in there you can. I like that the worms have more mobility so just in case your feeding area ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Super convienience and function
This bin looks good in the kitchen, is more than easy to use and my worms are very happy in it. It has large trays so you can keep using it for a good while before paying it any attention (like removing completed compost). The bottom collects "worm tea" which your plants will love and the lid keeps uglies out of sight but is well ventilated for the worms. And it's true: no flies, no stink, nada. Honestly, I will probably buy another one soon (there's always more waste to be wormed!).
