The heater can also be operated manually with high/low heat and fan options, as well as the automatic system connected to the thermostat. With the thermostat turned off, the heater converts to a two-speed fan. Nonglowing heat elements and electronic shutoff in case of tip-over provide safety. The durable, cool-touch plastic cabinet measures just 12-1/2 by 11-1/2 by 9-1/2 inches, and the heater operates at either 750 watts (low) or 1,500 watts (high). Rating: - LOVE this heater!
I've gone through a lot of space heaters trying to find one that I like. My aunt had these at her house when I stayed & it heated up a bedroom with the door closed really quickly. So I got one. I've had it for 2 years now, it's been working perfectly. It has gotten tipped over & jarred by my toddler with no problem. It works great & is the best space heater I've ever had. I also really like how the outside doesn't get hot like some I've seen, don't have to get worried about anyone getting burned. I will never buy another brand of space heater!

Rating: - boo on reconditioning
I purchased 2 reconditioned units. The first stopped working within 30 days. the second stopped working within 60 days. They work great for a short period of time.

This heater is reasonably quiet and heats effectively. Unfortunately it blew out its circuit board after only 3 months or so. Now I have to send it back to the factory across the country since they have no local service outlets.
Rating: - Weak, but quiet
Not exactly the Holy Grail of space heaters, but excellent for a small bedroom. This model can't keep a porch warm in winter, but if noise is a factor, this would be an acceptable choice. I'm glad I didn't buy a brand new model. I don't think it's worth [the money].
