Rating: - pressure cooker gasket
My Fagor pressure cooker lid measures 10 inches in diameter. I ordered this gasket, which states it is for 10" diameter lids. However, the gasket itself measures 10 3/4". It is too big for the 10" lid.

I think the reason people are being sent the wrong size gasket is related to the problem in the description. I have a 6 quart Spendid and it takes a 10" gasket -- as do all Splendid models, except for the 2 in 1. So, this gasket is not only for 8 and 10 quart single models, but for others, as well. Be sure to check the fagor USA site before you order a gasket, and be sure to get two. Example: My dog had surgery so I needed to pressure cook him some meat so it would be soft. This item is a replacement gasket. Per the other reviewer, if you received a 12 in gasket instead of a 10 in, then send the wrong item back. I have ordered three gaskets in the past three years and I have received the correct item. Please note that you should replace your gasket at least once a year to ensure proper seal.
