Rating: - Temperature probe is great help
My wife and I have had this product for six months and love it. It is hot in Texas, so we have roasted a whole chicken, cooked chili, and made a pot roast in this product. The temperature probe changes the heat setting to warm when the food reaches the desired temperature.
When you are ready to eat, the food is hot and the kitchen stays cool. There is no need to transfer food to another dish to serve. The removable black crock is easy to clean.

Although I did not purchase this item through Amazon.com, I did use the reviews to consider this purchase. I was sure that this was the one for me!
I have an old Rival that has served me well for 15 years. As my family has grown, I am now in the market for a larger size slow cooker...preferable with newer convenience features. My old round slow cooker measures 4.5 quarts liquid, filled to the rim. Figured 6-quart would do the trick.

I was going to buy a unit that switched to warm after cooking from Wal-Mart but came home and found it had horrible reviews, so I looked to see which units had good reviews and found this one - not only does it go to warm after cooking, it has a probe!

Thank gawd Target has a 90-day return policy! I purchased this on sale and used it twice with great results. Yesterday I came home to a pot roast that quit cooking several hours ago... all my groceries spoiled. Today I went to Target and returned the defective unit and picked up a new one. Plugged it in and filled it with goods for split pea soup. Hit the power button... and... nothing! I'm done with this brand.
