The mill has a brushed 18/10 stainless steel body with a glass window for monitoring how many peppercorns remain in the chamber. Pressing the button on top of the electric pepper mill commences grinding and pepper output. A lamp at the bottom lights up during grinding so that, even at a dimly lit dining table, you can always see how much pepper is landing on your green salad or salmon fillet. The grinder has a patented carbon steel grinding gear for long-lasting use and a dial on the underside of the mill controls the fineness of the grind (clockwise for fine and counter-clockwise for coarse). Rating: - Almost One Year and Still Going
I bought this after my old battery operated grinder stopped working after several years. I am very happy with this and I entertain a lot. Everyone always "hints" at how much they like it and now I have to buy one for one of my close friend's birthday next month...I guess that's the downside -It will keep costing you money! Too bad they are not cheaper.

This pepper mill operates with the touch of a finger. It leaves your other hand free to stir or snap your fingers along with your favorite song while you cook. No more wrestling with manual pepper grinders that require huge muscles to operate and don't produce the needed amount of pepper.
Rating: - A Great (and Fun) Peppermill
My husband and I bought the MIU electric peppermill for my husband's 94-year-old father for Father's Day. My father-in-law loves pepper and uses a lot of it on many foods. He always complained that he couldn't get enough pepper out of a conventional shaker, so we decided this was the perfect gift for him. He absolutely loves it and also appreciates the fact that it's lighted, as his eyesight is poor. The only downside is that my mother-in-law kept finding plates full of pepper while he was having fun trying it out!

I bought this grinder and was a little skeptical based on some of the reviews. I found it to work just fine. It grinds faster than what I had before so you have to hold the button for just a few seconds. I like the pepper fine and with that adjustment it strains just a bit.
Overall I am very happy and would buy it again and recommend it to others..
