Rating: - Oxo Good Grips Meat Tenderizer
Bought this Oxo product based on its looks and reviews. Was I ever disappointed. A piece of junk! Top broke off the 2nd time used. Once it breaks, you can see the poor quality aluminum used in this product. Just another piece of Chinese junk in the garbage. I should have kept the warrenty for something like this. Will be buying a stainless commerical one now...
Rating: - Okay, but they make a better one
I used this for several years, and it is fine for what it is. I like the handle, but the head is a bit small, which can tear the meat.
I've since replaced it with the i-series version, which I like a lot better:

Rating: - Heavy duty
The only thing that might be a downfall with this product is that it is not dishwasher safe. But I do dishes the "old-fashioned" way so it won't be a problem. It is of a nice weight where I don't have to put forth too much effort to get the results I am looking for. One side is flat for making meat flat while the other has little teeth that will make tougher cuts of meat more tender. I am very happy with this product.

THis meat tenderizer in not a bad deal. It has a good balance to it and the rubberized handle gives you a solid grip with little or no feedback when pulverizing a thick chop or steak. The only major drawback is that the rubber grip is glued on so it is not dishwasher safe. You therefore have to treat it as if it were a wooden tenderizer, to a certain extent.
Rating: - A Gourmet Cook's Necessity
Every good cook or chef needs a good meat pounder to flatten or tenderize meats. This is the one you need.
