Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Foolproof
This little kettle does what it's meant to do, simply and without frills. I've had bigger and cordless models but I've had electrical problems with the kettle/pot portion not connecting properly after a year or so of use. I've had this kettle for about 3 years now with no problems. Three of my friends have bought this kettle after seeing how easily this kettle works. While it does have a cord to plug in, it's very easy to insert and remove and take the kettle to wherever needed. One bonus is it takes up less counter space than the cordless model.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - First Time Purchasing an Electric Kettle and Loving It
My fiance and I love having french press coffee in the morning and that's pretty much the only way we'll have our coffee at home (unless we're having lattes using this: Bialetti Cappuccino and Latte Set). So when we're in a bit of a hurry, waiting on the kettle to boil on the electric stove for 8 minutes can be a tad annoying. So I decided to invest in this Proctor Silex Kettle and I think it boils at full capacity in about 4 minutes. The maximum fill quantity is also perfect for our french press: Bodum New Kenya 34-Ounce Coffee Press, Black. We're both impressed with its abilities and we've been ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent value
I bought this kettle so that I could make tea in my office and, in the year that I have owned it, has served me extremely well. The kettle holds approximately 32 oz. of water, so I get two cups per kettle, even with my gargantuan 16oz mug. The kettle heats to boiling and then shuts off, which is an excellent safety feature, especially for me who might run out of my office when it's on. The only downside for me is that the kettle can be kind of slow to heat from cold. I've found it to be no faster than a kettle on my stove, so I don't bother to use this at home. But in the office where I don't ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great little kettle
This kettle is great for day-to day use, preparing tea or supplemental for cooking. Doesn't take up too much space and the cord unplugs once you're done heating the water.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - For the price, it's tolerable
Quite simply, you can't beat $15 on amazon. The biggest and most annoying drawback to this is the electrical cord that plugs into the product. Most of the Braun's have a charging station, so you can pick up the pitcher off the charger and not worry about the dangling cords. In this case, the cord is attached to it, so you either have it dangling around as you pour the boiling water, or you have to unplug it, which, really isn't that big of a deal, but compared to the Braun's where you just pick it up, it's kind of annoying to have to fumble with an electrical cord. Not to mention the length of the ... Read More
