I was quoted over $550 from a local A/C company to replace the fan motor. I don't have any experience with A/C units but I can change out a ceiling fan. I found this motor online and replaced the fan myself. The only issue was the motor has 5 wires and the one I was replacing has 3. The wiring diagram was useful but took me a few minutes to determine how I needed to connect the wires. It is very important you determine how your current fan rotates prior to replacing. My first attempt was clockwise and I needed to switch a few wires to get a counter-clockwise rotation.
