A wanted a nutmeg grater but I was nervous about the super sharp micrograters and I've had bad luck with grinders. A friend recommended this and said it would even work for nutmeg. Well, the price was right - so I got it. Honestly, it does grate nutmeg - and rather quickly with just a moderate pressure. I don't think I would want to grate a whole jar of nutmeg. But for making drinks or cakes it does the trick.
