The picture makes this tenderizer look like plastic, but it definitely is not!! It is a heavy duty rubber like substance that makes tenderizing very easy. It is heavy in your hand, allowing gravity to assist with the pounding. It is also very good at flattening meats. Finally, the price makes this item a very good value
Rating: - Nice, inexpensive, versatile
You can't get too crazy with a meat tenderizer, but I do find I have a lot of use for both the textured side and the rounded side - pretty nice feature, comfortable grip handle and very affordable.
