Rating: - The scale is off, and I'm not just saying that....
When I got the scale, I took it out of the box, read the directions, and placed the scale on a flat, even surface to give it a try. The scale, without my body weight, reads 5 pounds, so now every time I weigh myself I have to subtract the 5 pounds that it reads as a zero. The scale screen is also really small and hard to read. I have to bend over a little to read it and I'm 23 with 20/20 vision. If it didn't add on the extra 5 pounds, I would say that it might be a good basic scale with no frills, but it doesn't even read zero when it should which kinda defeats the purpose of using the scale. ... Bought this scale for $5 with free shipping on sale. Might not be as good as some higher end, but you can not beat the price. It works as advertised, the accuracy seems good when I compare with a scale used in the hospital. I use this scale to monitor my weight daily and it helped me keep fit!

Although this scale is a bit small and you can only put half of your feet on it, it WILL NOT tip over as you stand with one foot on the edge of the scale. It's by far the best analog scale I have ever used. The reading accurately goes back to 0 when you come off the scale. Most analog scale show 1 lb or -1 lb when you come off but not this Tanita HA524W Analog Scale. In addition, the entire top surface of the scale has grips on it to prevent you from falling down.
