The Vornado brade of fans is one of the best around. The one that we had finally gave up the ghost after 10 Years. So if you want a fan that will cool more than a single room, BUY this brand.
Rating: - In house direct fan - OK / Work Site Air Mover - No Good
Was looking for a good Air Mover to help while doing home projects in closed environments. Need to be kept cool. The Vornado is light and good quality but it's air volume is lacking. We have an old 3 speed 16" desk fan that is starting to fail and it moves more air the Vornado. This fan is a just OK fan and does produce a direct air stream. It really doesn't seem to be an air circulator. If you need a good Air mover try Northern Tool. If you need a niche home air mover this Vornado does OK.

I purchased this fan about a year ago. I'm the type who likes to buy the highest quality I can afford. I was fooled by the claims made by the fans manufacturers as pertaining to its performance. It is advertised as a shop fan, but it is the least powerful "shop fan" I have ever seen. Considering its price I had expected a big bang from this small fan. It left me with a sick feeling in my stomach after turning it on high.
