My wife suffers from hotflashes and finding a fan that had a concentrated airstream and was not so loud that it kept us awake has been a challenge. I first saw the Vornado Clamp-on Air Circulator(fan) in a gardening catalog as the solution for stagnant air in greenhouses. In researching the Vornado I found that Amazon carried them, so I ordered one, and upon receiving it looked for an appropriate place to mount it, I finally decided to clamp it to our closets sliding door.
