Amazon.com Review: These powerful 8-inch kitchen shears cut food, flowers, paper, cardboard, even carpet. They're balanced in the hand and work equally well for right-handers and left-handers. Blades formed from high-carbon stainless steel curve inward so they meet in only one place at any given position and cutting action is smooth and exact. One blade's serrations prevent slippage. A plastic cap on the screw securing the blades can be lifted so the shears can be taken apart for resharpening. Steel-tooth insets in the rugged synthetic handles twist open bottle and jar caps. Rating: - Just what I needed
I almost didn't order these when one review pointed out that they were made in China, but I'm glad I did because all the reviews gave them good marks on performance. When they arrived, I looked all over the box and the shears and was unable to find ANY country of origin; only long-term use will demonstrate their quality.

We've wanted one of these kitchen shears for a long time and I finally broke down and bought one for my wife on Mother's Day this year. Needless to say, she keeps thanking me for such a useful gift. Guess I did okay this time!

Wonderful kitchen shears. They are very sharp and tight and, importantly, come apart with a simple twist for complete cleaning.

I have arthritis in my hands and cutting through chickens bones was completely impossible for me. Tried soooo many kitchen shears supposedly designed to do this daunting job. Perhaps so, but those others required hand strength which those of us with arthritis simply do not possess. Then I got this. WOW! It's such a snap to cut through chicken bones!
The fact they come apart easily for thorough cleaning is a major plus. (You want to get anything that comes in contact with chicken really, really clean to avoid contamination with deadly salmonella).

It doesn't get any better! These are fabulous and that you can pull them apart to resharpen makes it a bonus! Great kitchen shears!
