I bought this after experiencing difficulty making mashed potatoes with a ricer and previous ho-hum experience with other potato mashers. When I took it out of the box, it seemed awfully small, not the industrial strength masher I thought I'd ordered. This masher seems to rip through potatoes without having to use much strength. It leaves a creamy rather than chunky potato stream and the head doesn't become mired in a glutinous potato prison. Quick, efficient, it makes silky smooth mashed potatoes easy to produce.

This device turned out fully, light and flavorful mashed potatoes with reasonably little effort. The tool's round handle was easy to grip for this Senior Citizen. The rounded edges adjsuted to the curves of the saucepan.

This potato masher is excellent. The small holes mash the potatoes evenly and quickly so over mashing is not an issue. It's very strong, well made and easy to hold. The extra height makes it great for mashing large amounts of food in a deeper pot. I also use it for turnips and I like it more than any other masher I've tried.
