Editorial Review:

Product Description:
This is the coolest looking little gadget we've seen in a long time. Think of it as modern art for the kitchen. Better yet, it does a darn good job at whisking! The individual wires are topped with weighted balls that work at any angle and into corners to aerate and whip eggs and batters.

Amazon.com Review:
In this new design for classic whisks, the individual beaded wires make short work of both mixing and washing. Eleven long wires surround one shorter one, and with the independent movement and extra weight provided by the end bead, air is incorporated much more thoroughly into whisked food. For example, a pint of chilled cream whipped about 30% faster, while eggs for omelets took about five seconds. Washing is simpler, too. There are no little crevices for thickened liquid to get caught in, and it's dishwasher-safe. If there is any drawback at all, it's that you may overbeat food the first use or two--after that, you're sure to remember to adjust the time. --Jill Lightner

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Improved idea for an old standby!
The WMF Profi-Plus 11-Inch Stainless Steel Ball Whisk is such a great idea. Although I thought it was a bit pricey I'm so glad that I purchased it. I'm such a gadget person anyway that when I come across an item that is new or improved I just have to try it. I was not disappointed with this item. This item seems to be well made with strong wires, not flimsy and hopefully will last a long time.

This ball whisk not only whisks perfectly and efficiently but cleanup is a snap! The wire whisk is a little difficult to clean properly at times when food particles get trapped in the wires ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Magic for sauces!!
This tool is simply revolutionary for anyone who uses a whisk while cooking;while I still prefer a traditional whisk for mixing in bowls, this one is a must have for mixing in pots and pans.In the case of sauces where thorough mixing is required constantly,it gets right to the edges insuring no flour or cornstarch chunks.
It was an instant favorite. Also super easy to clean!!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A whisk that gets in the "corners"
The review written by Jenel "Book Lover" "Not all it's creacked up to be" cracked me up!!! I don't care if a whisk goes "clack-clack-clack" or "toot-toot-toot" because I don't use whisks for "sound effects". This style of whisk is my second most used one. (#1 is a "Krona Sauce Master Whisk and #3 is a simple "French [spring] Whisk". I have "donated"' ALL of my "regular balloon wire whisks" and use only these three designs.) THIS ONE IS WONDERFUL for "getting into corners" of containers with vertical sides. It is absolutely the easiest of all whisks to clean, and the combination of wires of differing ... Read More

I bought this based on rave reviews online, but I've been disappointed. I don't like the clack-clack-clack sound this whisk makes when it hits the sides of the glass bowl, and I find that the independent movement of all the pieces gets in the way of smooth mixing. I'm now shopping for a new whisk. I read in America's Test Kitchen's cookbook that their favorite was a narrow balloon-shaped whisk, so I'm on the hunt.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Steel Ball Whisk
I always wanted one of these particular whisks after reading an article from a cook in a newpaper interview. She answered that the one utensil she would not want to be without, was this whisk. It mixes better and easier than the others. I'm not disappointed. Well made and works great.
