Rating: - The Best Kitchen Purchase
I've gone through 3 different sets of cookware...expensive non-stick, heavy aluminum, and even those nasty glass Vision's cookware from way back...and this set of Kitchen Aid Gourmet Distinctions is the winner hands down! They are beautiful hanging in my pot rack, but they really shine on the stove top. I have been impressed at how well they cook, and I have not had any trouble with food sticking. A good stir and scrape occasionally makes sure food is released before sticking becomes an issue. Of course, using a little cooking spray helps, too. They clean up exceptionally well, especially ... Rating: - They Cook As Well As They Look!
We've had our set since March 2008 and we don't miss the nonstick they replaced one bit. These pots and pans are for the most part substantial without being unwieldy. We wish the 6qt pot were a 4 or 4.5qt instead, because when it's full of boiling water, it can be a handful.
We've done all sorts of meals with these and just like with most cooking messes, if you're a tidy cook and wipe things out as soon as you're done with them, final cleanup is a breeze.
Rating: - Worst pans we have ever used!!
We received our new pans in a timly fashion, HOWEVER the very first pan leaked water out of the handle rivets. Amazon did a great job replacing this set. Since we could not boil an egg with the water leaking onto the stove, we decided to fry a few scambled eggs. We cleaned the pans with mild soap and rinsed with water, toweled dry and sprayed the bottom with pam. WE also put a little margerine in for the onion to start before the eggs. Breakfast eggs we like done very lite, so low was used on the burner. The eggs just stuck everywhere, especially on the side where the pam was not sprayed!

Rating: - Best Decision!
I searched over so many brands and decided on this set for the price and the quality I would be getting. I am so pleased. It heats evenly and is great for whatever I am cooking. This is the best decision I could have made.
Rating: - Terrific value
These are wonderful pots and pans. They have a nice heft without being too heavy, excellent even heat conduction (and they stay hot a long time--if you have electric stove you can turn off burner before cooking is complete, and don't forget to use medium heat). Also very sturdy. (I accidentally dropped an expensive Calphalon lid in the store when shopping, and it easily dented--I was NOT impressed). Handles stay cool, but you should know that the lid handles will get hot with prolonged cooking.
FYI: the lid to the 4 qt saucepan fits the 8" skillet-otherwise, lids are not interchangeable ... Read More
