Since purchasing this brush, it has be a breeze using it to baste. Cleanup is simple - no worries about whether the brush is really clean of sauces, etc., because of the unique silicone brushes. You want to baste? You need this brush.

This brush works well for basting and I also use it to butter anything. The bristles are soft enough that they will mold around what needs basted or buttered nicely.

For years I have used basting brushes and when you wash them you don't get the feeling they are clean. I have thrown them all away and will use my Silicon Brush now. The head screws off to put in the dishwasher, but it is easy to wash so I usually wash it with my pans in the sink. It is soft and pliable and brushes butter and barbecue sauce on just as easily as my old brushes. And with the temperature rating, I can use it at the grill and through the oven door. I am going to give this to all the women on my Christmas list this year. I wish I had bought one sooner.

I've only owned it a few weeks, but I have already used it several times for spreading bar-b-que sauce on meats while grilling. It provides a complete, even coverage of the sauce on the meats, unlike my old brushes that left heavy pockets of sauce or "pushed" the sauce off the meats and onto the coals/grill. It doesn't have bristles to soak up the sauce, so you'll also notice using less sauce than before.
Also, I also feel that this item is a lot more sanitary than the old fashioned brushes. There's no more squeezing and pushing the bristles appart to ensure you've cleaned it completely. ... Read More
