To use, simply place whole eggs into the little grooves of the interior perforated shelf (piercing not required), then screw on the top and cook. No more hot water and delicate maneuvering to keep the delicate goods intact! The plastic boiler is high-heat tolerant and goes conveniently into the dishwasher. --Kara Karll

I am so happy I found this product and tried it. I LOVE IT!! It saves time on cooking and clean up! Highly recommend this product for all boiled egg enthusiasts.
Rating: - great product
I bought this egg cooker as an experiment, and it has worked way better than I expected. We can boil eggs, hard or soft, and not heat up the whole kitchen boiling water on the stovetop. It does get hot of course so taking the top of the cooker off can be a little hairy. Not a problem if you want hard boiled eggs--just wait for it to cool off or run cold water over it until you can handle it. But when you want soft boiled eggs still hot, you just need to be careful not to burn your fingerprints off!

If your looking to cook eggs faster then this is the tool. The only downside is you will have to figure out the cooking time depending on how many watts your microwave is.
Anyone using less then a 1000 watt microwave should buy a new one seeing how most microwave times are figured at 1000 watts or more.

My sister first purchased this item, she is known as "grandma gadget". She raved about it, so I bought one. The first time I made soft boiled eggs, I times them for "soft" - not great. The next time was on "medium" and they turned out wonderful. It took me longer to peel the eggs than to cook them. My husband loves them for breakfast and I love not having to heat up the range for this. My sister also uses this for steaming veggies. She puts the water in the bottom, the veggies in the top, and steams them to her liking. I will have to give this a try.

Thought I'd try this thing based on user reviews. Have tried other microwave devices with varying degrees of success(or failure), so I put a lot of stock in what others have to say about it.
First of all it works great, but there is some trial & error. Also I think the size of the egg has a lot to do with the results. The first batch I tried were Xtra large & it was dead on for the cook times. The next time I used it was Jumbo size & they came out under done. So bottom line it works great but you have to experiment for best results.
