Amazon.com Review: These highly polished, handsome tongs feature 2-1/2-inch-wide, concave, pronged tips. That makes them far more attractive in the dining room than ordinary kitchen tongs and perfectly at home in a salad bowl--especially one holding fruit. But it doesn't mean this sturdy tool won't serve usefully in the kitchen. In fact, for turning foods in a frying pan, dipping pasta out of boiling water, and delicately handling fish and steamed vegetables, nothing is quite so useful as tongs. Though there are longer kitchen tongs, this length is the most popular, as watching any television cooking show proves. These clean easily and won't discolor. --Fred Brack

Rating: - Sturdy tongs
Others have remarked that they were too thin but they seem to be the ideal weight to me. I'm enjoying mine for salads but they will work well as a serving utensil, too, for breads or cookies, etc.
Rating: - Great tongs
Great tongs. I use them all the time, mainly for salad. They look elegant on the table.
Rating: - Not terrible
These tongs are OK but they really do not have a solid feel to them. I get the impression that after some use that the bend is going to suffer metal fatigue and will eventually break. I'd opt for a tong with a hinge mechanism if I had it to do over.
Rating: - Great multi-purpose tongs
I have had many tongs over the years but this is the best. It is simple yet elegant and can handle just about anything. We have used it for salads, steaks, chicken, etc. and the feel of the tongs are very sturdy. I would highly recommend this item.
