I use it in my 2nd grade class. The students LOVE it, and they understand it. Too bad they don't make them any more.

how many of you remember sitting on the couch waiting for schoolhouse rock to come om? Admit is, you still know the workd to I'm just a bill, and conjunction junction!! this is so cool to watch and to make a part of your child's memory
Rating: - Classic Schoolhouse, but better.
I watched this DVD because I am absolutely obsessed with Schoolhouse Rock, and politics, so it only seemed fair to give it a shot.
It gives some of the great classics, such as "I'm just a bill" and the "I'm gonna send your vote to college"
The graphics are restored, and the sound is as well, so it looks and sounds great.
The only thing I was disappointed in was the 2 "surprise" endings. They weren't amazing. Like 20 seconds, and nothing too spectacular.

Rating: - School House Rockin' the Election
I grew up with School House Rock - I memorized the preamble to the constitution by singing "We The People" so I decided that this was perfect to share with my middle school students. I've used the "election" series to introduce American history and civics. Now they hum these infectious songs while working on assignments. We start the section on congress in the next few weeks so I expect I will be hearing the students singing about "Bill" until winter break. Rating: - Rock the Election!
"Schoolhouse Rock" was a great learning tool for my children when it was on TV during the 70's. Now my children have children of their own, and I was happy to share this latest Election Collection DVD with my three grandsons. The tunes are catchy, the video is fun, and the educational benefit is huge (and painless). Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could get rid of a lot of the political ads on TV and replace them with segments from this DVD! Then we'd all learn something and enjoy doing it.
