This film is not the best or the worst I have ever watched. Not having seen the earlier film of the same title, I can't make a comparison, but it does sometimes fail to convince. But any film starring Christopher Plummer gets my vote.

A lot of people are sayig that this one isnt as good as the original, but I actually liked this version. I also liked John Ronane as the doctor. Some are picking on his performance, but I thought he was absolutley adorable. I wish this version would come out on DVD.

An earlier reviewer mentioned Hunnicutt and a shower scene. It is NOT functionally nudity as the camera does not go below the shoulders and it is just a few seconds long. Not remotely worth comment except to warn.
Rating: - a Crowd Pleaser!
I think this movie stands on its own merit! I didn't see the original version, but I don't feel I need to compare. The story is suspenseful, the acting is convincing and John Phillip Law is absolutely gorgeous!! If you are a JPL fan, don't miss this movie. He's acting is in top form in this thriller. Don't miss it.
