I actually purchased two of these Tea sets for some friends overseas. Upon delivery of the first one, the lady who wanted to give it as a gift loved it so much she asked me to get another as she was going to keep the first one for herself! Packaging and shipping were fantastic. Get's my 5 star.

It is MADE IN CHINA. Looks good. Do not like the lid... they do not stay on if you're pouring the coffee out. Hold on to the lid!!!

I would not be as harsh in my review as one of the other customers was. Amazon clearly stated in the item description that the set was made from stoneware and not from the Spode Imperialware. With this in mind, I feel this tea set is beautifully crafted and is ideal for daily use and can also be utilized for more formal occasions. There are other, more formal and delicate, porclein Spode tea items available (the sugar, the creamer, and the tea pot). They are sold individually and are perfect for formal events.
Rating: - Spode is great, but just not this set
The spode 3 piece tea set is made in China, not England and definitely feels and appears to be a cheaper, more mass-produced item than what I am used to buying from Spode. Although the price is cheaper than most Spode products, the quality is worse and would not recommend this set.
