They have good quality, I even didn't expect it. BUT the color is too red-orange.

These plates are amazing! The quality is exceptional and the variety of both shape and pattern is stunning. Considering the price (under $12.00 at the time) and the fact that they are made in England makes this an unbeatable deal. I am planning to use them with my Spode Blue Italian and Blue Room items for a surprising splash of color at desert time. I highly recommend these plates!

The quality of these plates is great--They're nice and heavy and seem durable. However compared to the picture, they're quite dull in color. I was expecting them to stand out and be very vibrant, but they're all a bit ho hum. They're not really orange or red but more a burnt umber and they're all roughly the same shade unlike the picture--making them, well, boring. I paid $13 for these plates and am glad b/c for this price I won't return them. If I had paid a penny more though, they would have to go back.

I just bought three sets of these plates and I'm really happy with them. They aren't as high end as some other Spode dishes, but they are worth the price. These are dishwasher and microwave safe, and a perfect size for serving dessert. The only caution is that they are more orange in color than red.

After ordering 5 sets of this pattern I was sorry to say that the quality was so poor that I returned them. I have bought several collections of Spode in the past and was very surprised by the change in their quality.
