I bought one of these when they first came out. I still have it but I never use it, preferring to rely on disposable Bic lighters instead. I bought brand new wicks and zippo butane, nothing made this piece of junk work properly. After 5-15 attempts it might finally light for a few seconds only to eat up half a tank of butane in about 3 seconds and then flick out before you can start a decent fire. This lighter is an embarrassment to the zippo brand. It only gets one star because the texture is nice, not that it does you any good with a terrible lighter inside.
Rating: - Extremely Disappointing
I have used a zippo lighter for 45 years so I was MOST daisappointed then the new butane from zippo stunk. It goes through butane like crazy, it's dangerous to use in the car because you can't tell if it's lit, tilt it at all when lit and it goes out, the jets needed cleaning with a needle after one weeks use, and it's no where close to windproof.
Rating: - Zippo knows their stuff
Zippo Blu is a torch style butane lighter with most of the things that are nice about the original Zippo. It lights easily, and the lid helps to protect everything inside. The blue torch is very nice, and lights cigars with ease.
I only suggest--when buying online--to check whether you are getting a can of butane or not. I forgot to check, and had to wait a few more days to use my new lighter until I got the Zippo brand butane (for warranty reasons).
