Product Description: This video motivates children to exercise as they move around to these energetic tunes
Amazon.com: Energetic without being frenetic, this collection of Hap Palmer (of Baby Songs fame) songs for toddlers and interested preschoolers is the perfect combination of children's entertainment and skills development. The video's nine smoothly produced numbers--full of active children dancing and following Palmer's lyrical cues to jump, stretch, and run--are irresistible to tots happy to get up and move. At the same time, Palmer's easygoing, sing-along games of shape recognition, counting, and identifying body parts increases a child's confidence with early learning. "Stepping Out on the Town" seems to be a series of repetitive verses about getting out of the house for fun, but it's really a song about counting to 12. "Flick a Fly" has a hoedown motif that feels right for a tune about shooing pesky flies off noses, knees, elbows, etc. "Percival the Parrot" is a musical game of hide-and-seek that encourages a rudimentary sense of direction. Besides the engaging content, one has to be impressed with the true inclusiveness of this enterprise, which features all sorts of kids with diverse backgrounds. A happy experience all around. --Tom Keogh
