Rating: - Pretty good pad.
This is a nice mattress pad. It preheats quickly and the wires are fairly thin. The only down side is the connector box at the foot of the bed is rather large.
Rating: - Worked great initially, but after 6 mos. or so, stopped warming
This is not a fluke, either. My roomate's did the same thing. They seem to lose the ability to produce heat with normal, regular use. I'd like see one with a longer use life.

I love my mattress pad and I have been telling all my friends. I joke that I could become a sales person for this company. Most nights I don't have to turn on my heat because if I get cold I just reach over and turn on the mattress pad and it warms me up. I also run and have problems with my knees and I feel that the mattress pad has been great for that, at night when I'm sore I lay on the mattress pad and it just relaxes my muscles and in the morning before I go running I turn it on for a little while and it warms me up so I run easier. I highly recommend this product

I wondered whether it would be sufficiently padded so that i wouldn't feel the wiring. It was, and I don't. I think it does the job. Warms up the bed quite quickly (less than 2 minutes). Can't really compare as I haven't tried any other types. I chose this because Sunbeam seems to be a reliable brand.
