This scale seems to be accurate and it always works when there is enough light. I enjoy the scale and accuracy within a 1/2 pound.

It is 95% accurate to be honest. Not perfect but you can always get right or almost right number and its reliable. So I recommend it!!!
Rating: - Tanita Solar is Perfect
I did a lot of research on scales prior to my purchase of the Tanita. I wanted to have an accurate scale for a low cost. This scale has proven to be ideal. The weight is always accurate, at least compared to repeated weighings on the same scale. I haven't compared it to other scales, my doctor's for example, but it seems right. Also I was unsure of the solar powered feature as I keep my scale in the bathroom under a shelf. However when I pull it out it only needs a small amount of light, from the small frosted window or the low wattage bulbs in my bathroom, to work great. I highly recommend ... Read More

Rating: - Great Scale. Accurate and Precise
A very good scale. It is very accurate. I've heard others complain of other scales that will read three different weights if you step on them three different times in a row. This does not happen with this scale. Also the solar powered feature is great. No batteries to buy, and it works fine with only a regular light on, no need to have it near a window or anthing. I highly recommend this scale.
