Great idea - poor product design. When I open it my knives pop every where but where they are suppose to be. The knives also have a tendency to slide towards the sides, so I can not close it again until I rearrange them all. The knife holder itself is just a hunk of plastic, the groves are not slanted enough to make the knives lay down, therfore they are like they are in a teeter totter position - But like I said great idea - poor design

I had no idea how bad this thing would really be. It's such a great idea; I couldn't find anything else like it anywhere & it was exactly the type of maxium utilization of space I was looking for. Well, basicly DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. On paper this works perfectly, but in reality it went like this: 1.) only came with screws; no nuts or anything. With all the pulling it would get, the screws would pull out. So we bought do-hickies that go into the inside of the bottom of the cabinet so the screw can thread into it. Unless you have knives with straight handles this drop down holder is not for you. It will not take any knife over a few inches wide because the knife slots are to shallow or narrow.
