Rating: - Great Laptop!
I have had this computer since Feb 2006 and have had only one problem with it. My superdrive stopped working within my warranty period, but I had it replaced by apple promptly. Since then, I have had no issues with this computer. My display did not suffer from the horizontal line issues since I purchased a refurbished powerbook g4. In my mind, this is the best 15" Powerbook G4 to get, since it has DDR2 RAM which is now getting really cheap, and has the standard 128mb dual link video card. I have my system maxed out at 2GB of RAM with the 100gb 7200 rpm drive and it runs great. It has been ... Read More
Rating: - Great, reliable machine
This is just the perfect size for someone who writes, travels and and uses the computer for research and shopping. I read some of the negative reviews here from people having problems with their powerbooks and I never feel compelled to write because I don't have any - problems that is, besides the bluetooth being a bit too competitive with the airport. The airport works fine (not great like with my plastic cased iMac, but very respectibly nonetheless), but it tends to kick the bluetooth out of the air. At least that's my somewhat uneducated opinion and experience. Other than that: great, flawless ... Read More
Rating: - Amazing machine!
Can't believe it took me so long to switch from Windows! A wonderful machine, that is a pleasure to use. Just one minor gripe - under-powered USB ports mean some external USB drives need a powered hub. There's no excuse for that. Other than that, by far the best laptop I have ever used, and great looking as well!
Rating: - Repair
If you plan on buying this laptop, be aware that there have been issues with the memory slots on this model. Apple has issued a repair extension program to help owners deal with this. Unfortunately this program only applies to 1.5 GHz and 1.67 GHz machines. A number of people with 1 GHz and 1.25 GHz machines are having the same failure, but I am not aware of any help for these machines.

Rating: - Bad Airport card
The airport card reception/transmission is blocked by the Aluminium case of the PowerBook. Apple even says so. Great computer. Just dont go online....
