Amazon.com Review: Combat the agony of leaving a hot shower for the chilly household air with a blast of warmth from this heater. From industry leader, Vornado, the fan heater oscillates to spread heat through out the room in no time at all. Best used as an enhancement to a heating system, separate use of the fan heater also provides comfort in the fall and spring months during cool mornings and evenings. Small rooms, up to 12 by 12 feet in size, benefit most from the application of the quiet fan heater.
The electronic heater features a convex grill format to allow air to flow most ably. The fan's grill and cabinet stay cool as heat emits from the protected non-glowing heat element. With three power settings for varying needs, the fan heater runs low at 600 watts, medium at 900 watts, and high at 1500 watts. The fan can also run with no heat to circulate air in hotter weather. Equipped with automatic comfort control technology, users enter an ideal temperature and the heating appliance automatically adjusts the output to obtain and maintain this level. To ensure safety, the heater cuts power upon tipping over, or if the heater should overheat. For safe operation, read the manufacturer guidelines and instructions thoroughly prior to use. The USA-made heater is covered under a limited one-year warranty. This unit weighs 5 pounds upon shipping. --Jessica Reuling

Rating: - No complaints.
I have owned this heater for a number of years now and have had no problems with it at all. Originally purchased to bring a guest room to a comfortable temperature for a guest, I have also used it to keep a greenhouse warm in sub-freezing temperatures and as a bathroom heater from time to time. This is not a heater to stand in front of to get a blast of heat. The way it circulates the air throughout the room keeps the ceiling level the same temperature as the floor level. No more hot head and cold feet!
Rating: - Sweet little heater
This is a quiet little heater and is perfect for warming up one room. I use it on chilly mornings while reading the paper and drinking my coffee. This facilitates not having to turn on the heat for the whole house. It's an upgrade from the other Vornado heater, that is a little less expensive. That one's on/off lever failed on me after only one year. I got a refund from the store then bought this one online.
Rating: - Delightfully warm, takes up little space
It's no surprise to me that Vornado heaters are good, their fans are the best. This little heater can warm up a room in no time. Plus, it's quiet, takes up little space, and is pretty safe.
I've shut off the vent for the heat pump in my office and use just this heater instead. The air's warmer than what the heat pump provides and I can get warm. We've tried another brand of heater and it just doesn't work as well.
If the Vornado fans we bought several years ago are any indication, I think we'll probably have this heater for many years to come. The fans have held ... Read More
Rating: - works good
A little bit noisy, but it does its job well. It sorta has that electric smell though.
Rating: - Great quiet heater - better than the other Vornado model
I have purchased several of the cheaper model Vornado heaters (AVH2). These heaters always did a great job heating the room, but they made this loud buzzing sound - sort of like an electrical substation.
I assumed the only difference between this model and the AVH2 was the digital display. But no, this model is MUCH MUCH quieter! The buzzing sound is barely audible. Do yourself a favor - if you do buy a Vornado heater, spend the extra couple of bucks and buy this one. It ended up costing me only $7.00 more than the AVH2, but the difference in the noise level is worth every penny....
